Role Overview:

AA Metals is looking for a Key Account Manager (Metal Sales) to join our growing team in Orlando, Florida. The role is responsible for managing key customer accounts in access of 10 million USD revenue per annum. Primary responsibilities encompass all commercial activities including purchase and sales order, supply chain management, go to market strategy, new business development, customer service and other tasks as required by the customers.

Specifically, the key account manager will report to the Vice President of Sales and be required to

1. Achieve annual contracted sales target

2. Develop specific market strategy to grow sales of the assigned accounts

3. Monitor and report customer volume intake during weekly sales meetings

4. Overseeing the entire supply chain, account managers are responsible that the purchase orders are received and materials arrived at the customer sites on time and in full

5. Resolve customer claims and complaints on a timely manner

6. Develop and maintain close working relationships with both suppliers and customers on multiple levels (from plant operators to corporate decision makers)

7. Gather market intelligence to support pricing strategy

8. Be a great listener, strives to meet and exceed customers’ expectations

5. Demonstrate affinity to apply statistical concepts to solve complex multivariable engineering problems (expert knowledge in statistic is however not required)

6. Make independent decisions based on his/her own strengths and insights. Be accountable to the outcome

7. Possess strong curiosity to learn from and interact with inter-departmental team members

8. Feel comfortable to work in an open and fast-paced work environment with diversified groups

9. Lead by example and foster a strong and high performance team culture

10. Travel up to 50% of the time

Education background: Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, statistics, business analytics, industry automation, technology management or data science.

Experience level: 1-3 years of employment experience in the manufacturing and/ or metal sales industry

Job Duties:

  • Manage multiple accounts, ensuring that a high level of customer retention and satisfaction is maintained
  • Meet monthly quotas
  • Engage with multiple customers on a daily basis by reaching out to new clients, and by developing campaigns for maintaining customer loyalty
  • Implement strategies for retaining customers requesting to terminate or downgrade their account
  • Record changes to customer accounts, updating service packages, adding accounts, and removing accounts as needed
  • Other duties as requested
